September has been super exciting for TriBeta, as we started off this semester with numerous events and held our first GBM of the semester.
We had a very successful event week, with 91 new members joining our chapter! Our officers held numerous activities to meet potential applicants, such as speed friending in the lower quad and biology jeopardy. Congratulations to our fall 24′ member class!
Our service chairs hosted a spectacular outing to the Carolina Community Garden, where members planted vegetables and broke down garden beds. Additionally, we hosted a benefit night at Spicy 9! We had a great turnout and all funds went benefitted the UNC Children’s Hospital.
Our social chairs collaborated with Alpha Chi Sigma, the professional chemistry fraternity, to host a trivia night at BeerStudy. Congrats to our teams came in 2nd and 4th overall! They also held events such as study nights and a powerpoint night, where members got to showcase their various passions in slide form.
Our departmental chair hosted a “How to Get Involved in Research as an Undergraduate” seminar at the Student Union, where members were able to hear perspectives on research from our executive board.
